Make-Up Air Systems

A make-up air system (MUA) supplies and conditions 100% outside air, counteracting the effect of exhaust systems, which can remove large quantities of air and cause negative pressure. The MUA brings fresh air into corridors and helps eliminate odors, improve air quality and reduce stress on the HVAC system. An MUA is great for places where air cannot be recirculated or where an HVAC system does not have the means for introducing fresh outside air and where it is particularly needed, such as medical/surgery facilities, restaurants, and industrial paint rooms. MUA can also be a great application with multi-tenant facilities and zoned energy usage.
