FAQs

Our air conditioner or heater is broken. Is there anything I can check before calling you?

Yes! Check the thermostat to make sure it is set for heating in the winter or cooling in the summer. Sometimes people accidentally switch this. If your filters are accessible, you can check them. If there is a switch for the furnace make sure it is turned on (these can look just like a light switch and people turn them off without realizing).

Can I have the same tech come to my building every time?

Yes! You can ask for the same technician or request the first available. Many customers prefer the same technician if a problem arises because they’ll be familiar with the building and equipment already.

Our unit is down. Can we reset it or turn it off and then turn it back on?

You can- however we always advise that if we can get to you soon enough to leave the unit down. Often times resetting the unit resets limits and safeties that would shut the unit down. This makes it much more difficult or impossible to troubleshoot because the unit will be operating and may not show any faults.

Do you do residential?

We only service commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. We used to do residential as well but we sold the residential division in 2000 so we could focus on our commercial clients.

Our heat or air conditioning is down. How fast can you get here?

Please call our dispatcher for the most up to date time estimate. Typically if you call us in the morning we can get there the same day.

What is a heat exchanger and why is it important?

The heat exchanger is the part of a furnace or rooftop unit that the combustion takes place in. There is a flame that goes through it, and the exhaust gases go out of the flue and outside. If there is a hole or crack in it, some of the exhaust gases such as carbon monoxide will go into the building.

What forms of payments do you accept?

Cash, check, ACH transfer, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

What about custom fabrication?

Yes! We can send somebody to measure and design almost anything out of metal. We will put it in CAD if required and double check everything before it is fabricated. Duct, machine guards, auxiliary drain pans, work platforms, tanks, galvanized, aluminum, or stainless.

I need a copy of your workers comp and certificate of insurance for our records. How can I get them?
